Born in Dumfries Scotland. Second son of Dorothea and Zvonko Kracun who emigrated to the UK in 1978 from Germany and Croatia.
Benjamin studied filmmaking first at Napier University Edinburgh and then at The National Film and TV School where he mastered in Cinematography.
His drama work has won top prizes in Locarno, Miami, Leeds, Edinburgh and gained a BAFTA Scotland and Prix UIP nomination’s.
He has recently completed a one off drama for the BBC and shot commercials for clients like Nokia, French Connection and Blackberry.
Benjamin’s work and obsession with light have taken him around the world, and both helped him develop a personal style which he brings to his work.
He is currently based in London.
